Chat with Multify via iMessage
Verify your phone number in Settings, then message Multify from your phone. Same agent, same context — and the whole conversation shows up in your chat history on every surface.
iMessage (and SMS) is another channel for reaching your Multify agent — alongside native chat on web, desktop, and mobile. You text a Multify number from your phone, your agent replies right in the Messages app, and every message flows into the same conversation history you see in the app, so you can pick up any thread on the web later. You can text 1:1 or bring it into a group, send more than plain text — voice notes, photos, and files — and it's the same agent that runs your whole Multify workspace, so anything you start over text lands in your Tasks, Files, and Sites.
Setup takes about two minutes and happens entirely in Settings — no BotFather, no bots to create.
Set it up
On the web app or the desktop app, go to Settings and find the Text Multify (Phone) card.
Enter your mobile number in international format (e.g. +1 555 123 4567). We'll text you a 6-digit verification code so we know the number is really yours.
Once verified, the number is linked to your account. You can add as many numbers as you like — they all reach the same agent.
The card shows the number to text and a Save to Contacts link. Saving it helps iMessage treat Multify as a trusted contact (no "unknown sender" banner) and makes it easy to find.
Message the Multify number from your phone and your agent replies in the thread. Send /new anytime to start a fresh conversation — the first message names it, just like in the app.
Send voice notes, photos, and files
Texting Multify isn't limited to plain text. Attach media right in the thread and your agent reads, transcribes, and acts on it — no uploads, no app switching:
- Voice notes — record an audio message and Multify transcribes it, then treats it like any other request. Handy when you're driving or on the move.
- Photos & screenshots — send an image and your agent reads what's in it: a receipt, a whiteboard, a screenshot of an error, a document photo.
- Videos — share a clip and Multify works with its contents.
- Files & PDFs — drop in a document and your agent can summarize it, pull details out of it, or save it to your Files.
Attachments work the same way in group chats — anyone summoning Multify can include a voice note, photo, or file with their message.
Using Multify in group chats
You can also let Multify take part in a group chat. It's off by default and opt-in per person, because in a group your agent answers in front of everyone.
In the same Settings card, enable group chats and set a trigger phrase (default MultifyBot). In a group, Multify replies only when a message contains that phrase — the phrase is stripped out before your agent reads the message.
Leave Only respond to verified senders off to let anyone in the group summon Multify with the phrase, or turn it on to restrict replies to verified Multify users. Either way, Multify only participates while at least one verified Multify user is in the group.
One agent, your whole workspace
The number you text isn't a separate bot — it's a surface onto the same agent that powers the rest of Multify. So a text isn't a dead end: what you do over Messages shows up everywhere you use Multify, and vice versa.
- Tasks — ask it to start, update, or check on a task from your phone, then track it in the app.
- Files — save an attachment you texted, or have it pull up a file you added on the web.
- Sites — kick off or tweak a published site over text and open it in the app to keep going.
- Email, calendar & 100+ tools — the same connected integrations it uses in native chat are available over text.
Because everything runs on one workspace with one shared history, you can start something in a text and finish it on the web, desktop, or mobile — the context follows you.
