AI Models & Credit

Multify lets you pick the right model for the job, keep favorites close, and fund prepaid AI credit so chat and agent work keep flowing. Here's how it works for everyday customers.

Choose a Model

Where Multify runs AI for you — chat turns, task runs for the built-in agent, and related flows — you can often pick the model:

  • In chat — switch models when a hard reasoning job needs more power, or a quick draft only needs a light model.
  • On tasks — when a task is assigned to Multify, set the model that should work it (available on web, desktop, and mobile).
  • Favorites — star the models you actually use so the picker stays short and useful.
  • Show all / focus — hide the long tail when you only want your team-approved or favorited set.

Prepaid AI Credit

Many teams run on Multify-managed model access funded by prepaid AI credit:

  • See your balance in the top navigation while you work.
  • Fund credit through Stripe when you're ready (same customer record as your Multify subscription when applicable).
  • Optional per-turn cost visibility helps you understand expensive runs without leaving chat.
  • We'll email the team when credit runs low so work doesn't stop mid-week by surprise.
Where to manage it Look for AI credit / billing controls from the profile menu and the credit callout in the top nav. The exact labels follow your plan and whether freemium gating is enabled for your workspace.

Bring Your Own Key (Teams)

Team owners can connect their own OpenRouter API keys when they want direct billing with OpenRouter, access to specific model tiers, or independent usage tracking. With a custom key you can also set team defaults for primary, vision, and coding models. If you're not sure you need this, prepaid Multify credit is the simpler path.

Plans & Gated Features

Multify may offer a free tier with ads and a paid plan that unlocks gated features (for example scheduled tasks and agent provisioning, depending on configuration). When you hit a gated feature, you'll see a clear upgrade path — you don't need to hunt through settings.

Practical Tips

  • Use a stronger model for research and multi-step runbooks; use a lighter model for short rewrites.
  • Favorite 2–4 models max so the picker stays fast.
  • Watch the top-nav balance before a big Monday batch of scheduled work.
  • Pair model choice with clear task descriptions — a great model still needs a great brief.
