Projects

A Project is a folder for your work. It groups everything related to one initiative — Tasks, Pages, Files, and Chats — under a single roof with its own dashboard, so you're never hunting across your workspace to find things that belong together.

Available everywhere Projects work across the whole Multify workspace — the web app, the desktop app, mobile, and the browser extension. Create a project on your laptop and it's right there on your phone.

What Is a Project?

Think of a Project the way you'd think of a folder on your computer — but smarter. Instead of holding just files, a Multify project holds the four core kinds of things you create as you work:

  • Tasks — the to-dos and jobs you (or your agent) are working on.
  • Pages — your notes and documents.
  • Files — anything you've uploaded or your agent has produced.
  • Chats — the conversations tied to this work.

Open a project and you get a single dashboard showing all four, so the full picture of an initiative lives in one place.

One home per item (like a folder, not a label) An item lives in at most one project at a time. Adding a task that's already in another project moves it — it doesn't put it in two places. This keeps things tidy: there's always exactly one place a task, page, file, or chat belongs.

Why Use a Project?

  • Everything in one view. Stop scrolling through a mixed list of every task and file you own — see just what's relevant to this client, launch, or campaign.
  • Faster hand-offs. Point a teammate (or your agent) at a project and they have all the context — the tasks, the notes, the files, the chat history.
  • Cleaner boards. Filter your Tasks board down to a single project when you want to focus.
  • Colour-coded at a glance. Give each project a colour and it shows as a small dot wherever the item appears.

Creating a Project

1
Open Projects
In the web app, click Projects in the left-hand Navigator. (On mobile, tap the folder icon on the Tasks screen; on the desktop app, choose Projects from the Navigator.)
2
Click "New Project"
Give it a name (e.g. "Q3 Product Launch"), an optional description, and pick a colour.
3
Start filing your work into it
Add the tasks, pages, files, and chats that belong to it — see the next section.

Adding Items to a Project

There are two easy ways to file something under a project.

From the project's dashboard

Open the project and each section (Tasks, Pages, Files, Chats) has an Add button. Click it, search for the item you want, and it's filed instantly.

From the item itself

Opening a task, page, file, or chat? Each has a Project option (a picker on a task; a menu on pages, files, and chats). Pick a project — or create a new one on the spot — and the item moves into it.

Ask your agent to do it You can also just tell your agent: "Create a project called 'Acme Renewal' and put the Acme proposal task and the contract file in it." Your agent can create projects and file items for you.

The Project Dashboard

Click any project to open its dashboard. You'll see four sections — Tasks, Pages, Files, and Chats — each showing the most recent items and a total count. From here you can open any item, add new ones, or remove an item from the project (removing never deletes the item — it just leaves the project).

Filtering Your Tasks by Project

On the Tasks board you can filter down to a single project, so your kanban shows only that initiative's work. It's the fastest way to go heads-down on one thing without the noise of everything else.

Renaming, Recolouring, Archiving & Deleting

  • Edit a project any time to change its name, description, or colour.
  • Archive a project when the work is done — it drops out of your active list and pickers but keeps everything it contained.
  • Delete a project to remove the container entirely. The tasks, pages, files, and chats inside are kept — they simply become un-filed (they leave the project, they aren't deleted).

Example Project Setups

Product Launch
Launch tasks, the messaging Page, the press-kit Files, and the planning Chats — one dashboard for the whole launch.
Per Client / Account
A project per client keeps their tasks, contracts, notes, and conversations together for instant context on any call.
Marketing Campaign
Creative tasks, the brief Page, the asset Files, and the review Chats grouped for one campaign.
Recurring Initiative
A standing project for something ongoing — onboarding, monthly reporting, or a quarterly OKR push.
Pair Projects with Runbooks Once your work is organized into a project, you can assemble its tasks into a Runbook — an ordered sequence you run together in one click. Projects keep things tidy; runbooks put them in motion.
