How to Stash Items

Stash is your timeline of things saved from the web. This guide covers every way to get things into it — while you browse, from your phone, in the app, or via an agent — plus how to tag, filter, and let LLMs read your stash over MCP. New to the feature? Start with the Stash overview.

1. Right-click with the browser extension

The fastest way to capture things as you browse.

1
Install the extension
Add the Multify browser extension and sign in.
2
Right-click → "Stash this"
Right-click any hyperlink on any page — or right-click the page itself — and choose Stash this. It's the top item in the Multify context menu.
3
Saved instantly
A quick badge confirms it — no dialog, no interruption. You can also open the side panel and hit Stash this page for the current tab.
No extra setup "Stash this" works on any hyperlink on any site — you don't need to be on a Multify page.

2. Text a link from your phone

Great for things you find on your phone.

1
Link your phone
Set up Text Multify so you can message your agent from your phone.
2
Send any link
Text a URL to Multify and it lands in your stash, ready to pick up later on web, desktop, or mobile.

3. Paste it directly in the app

1
Open Stash
On web or desktop, open Stash from the navigator (it sits between Pages and Sites). On mobile, use the Stash tab.
2
Paste a link or write a note
Drop a URL into the box at the top and hit Stash it, or write a plain note. Multify fetches the title and preview for links automatically.

4. Ask an agent

In any chat, just say what you want:

Example "Stash this link for me and tag it read-later: https://…"

Your agent saves it through Multify's tools. This also works from connected LLMs over MCP — see below.

Tag & filter

Open any stashed item to add a note and tags (e.g. research, competitors, read-later). Back in the timeline, use the tag filter bar to show just the items with a given tag. You can tag an item when you save it or any time after.

Let LLMs read your stash (MCP)

Everything you stash is reachable by AI through Multify MCP. Connect any MCP-capable LLM — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and others — and it can search your stash, read a specific item, and add new ones, pulling in the content you've saved from around the web as part of a normal conversation.

Example "Look through my stash for articles about onboarding and draft a summary with links."
Set up MCP once Follow the MCP Integration guide to connect Multify to your LLM. After that, your assistant can pull from everything you've stashed — no copy-pasting links.
